Pointscore & Weights Weights are displayed on each slot page inside the filter box. These weights represent how much each stat is valued on a per-item basis. The weights differ per stat because the class values each stat differently. To throw a wrench into the equation, each stat is more heavily represented based on what stat it is. For example, spellpower is often found in large quantities, so an equivalent weight to crit would mean that spellpower contributes more to the item's Pointscore. Another example is socket value. There's only 1 socket on an item, but holy paladins typically gem pure intellect, so we'd need to weight the 20 intellect stat points. Logically, a socket would then be 20 times the value of 1 intellect point (20*INT's weight). The equation used on this site for finding the pointscore is: ∑(Stat Weight * Stat Value) This website uses default weights to list an initial Pointscore. Users may enter their own values to sort items as they wish depending on what stats they value. |
